i have a leupold 4.5-14 x40 VX-III with the varmint reticle. it says to dial it in at 200yds. i only have a 100 yd range and want to know how low or high to set my zero at. 40 or 55gr hornady v-max 24" 1:8 shaw ss bbl

If you only have a 100yrd range (I'm guessing maybe Atterbury?)...I'd just set it for 100yrds....Then adjust it when you can go longer.

the closest 100yd range is in kingsbury, its where i go. i'm up here in south bend, and st. joe county has zero ranges something in the law book, damn nazis. just like i have to go to michigan on sundays if i run out of beer. i'll try the 100yd  thing but i 'm going grass rat shooting april 30th. just want to be ready...

I was just up in Goshen over the weekend...popped off a couple of tracer rounds Saturday about midnight...was'nt long before the phone started ringing.
