I am building my first pistol. I was wondering if anyone had tried the hydraulic buffer in a pistol and if so was it worth the price?

Mega,

I have played with an MGI rate reducing buffer in a 10.5" pistol build.  A lot of the functionality of any heavy buffer is gonna depend on how well the stock gas system is regulated to begin with.  Not sure what your goals are with the extra heavy buffer, but im my experiments I have found that playing with the flash hider/brake seems to have more of an impact on controlability than the extra heavy buffer.
