I've read through several of the articles on the site about rifle assembly, but have come up mostly dry on the subject of installing comps/ flash supressors. first off, timing. how do you time the comp? second, how do you get it to line up correctly? I imagine that if I just started threading it onto the barrel it might end up lining up and which direction, depending upon what side was up when I started. can someone clue me in here?

I'm not sure what you mean by timing.
But to make it lined up right, maybe get a hold of some thin washers to use a shims?
