Been lurking for quite a while, and finally decided to join.
I've had a lot of questions answered by reading threads on here, and figured I needed to get involved! I got my dream working at a gun shop and building badass black rifles about a year ago. I'm hoping I can eventually make a career in the firearms industry. I've met some awesome people, and getting to work with all like minded individuals is refreshing. Anyway... time to see what you guys think of my current projects. I submitted my first form 4 for a 5.56 phantom (had to start somewhere) and will hopefully be getting that little blue stamp of awesome in the next month or so (I've been handing over suppressors to people that went pending after I did, and that's frustrating haha!). I also sent off a form 1 for SBR on the same day. Also 93 days ago I E-filed another form 1. My birthday is in april, so hopefully I get some presents in the mail. I guess the good part ( maybe) about having to wait, is that I had time to save up for a top notch build. I started out with a factory Noveske "shorty basic" upper (10.5") http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v254/morningstar333/Mobile%20Uploads/2014-03-23%2022.08.15.jpg After getting the upper, I got a Vltor mur1A upper receiver with plans to use that, instead of the non mur receiver on the basic upper. I was really stuck at that point on which rail I wanted. I finally decided on the DD mk18 ris II in FDE ( thanks to my first post in the AR discussion forum). This rail is fu**ing awesome. I couldn't be any happier with my decision. The optic I went with is an aimpoint micro H1. I plan on changing out the mount to a LaRue eventually. Here's the "complete" build minus the barrel. I wanted to do a mockup with the lower before I installed the barrel to the upper, so I could at least see what it would look like after I get my stamp.
