[ARCHIVED THREAD] - larue problems

hello!
i have a quick release larue aimpoint mount (1st generation) ..i noticed that it has a small movement when mounted on my bushy flat top...i tried using the supplied wrench to tighten it but still it still moves a little...is this small "play"normal? please help.

After tightening it up, how hard is it to close & open it?

It's probably just not tight enough. The lever should be pretty tough to close, almost hurting your thumb.

Make sure you tighten it while the lever is in the open position. It seems obvious to most, but you may not know. It should be stout to close.
