Just built my first AR,.223. Was wondering opinions on laser/light combos or just light.

I like the TLR2G. However I do have a Surefire X400 Green on order. The nice feature with the X400 is that the rock switch also functions as a pressure switch.

The one you have on order looks nice, out of my price range. I don't want to go cheapest, but i would like reliable.

Also curious if the Streamlight can handle the recoil?

Recoil? Of .223? Yes, no problem with Streamlight handling that.

I would advise against buying a firefield ar laser light designator.

I found it on OpticsPlanet and bought it because it was cheaper than another laser/light.

Worst mistake i made, themount was shit and failed after 3rds of 5.56.

tried re-tightening it and the screws all stripped out and about got stuck on my rail.

Get a Klarus.
XT10, XT11 or XT12. The XT2C is reliable as well. less than $100 for each.

Bout the only laser I would consider is from Steiner. super intense lasers, but pricey... Stick with a flashlight
