Got a Vari X III. had for 10 yrs or so. A year or 2 I was sighting in the 270 it was on. Could not adjust the reticle up enough to put the bullet on at 25 yds. I sold the rifle. Recently I build an AR, and until I get suitable optic I put the Leupold on it. While bore sighting it I could not get the reticle to go up enough to get the laser dot on the cross hairs.

Any body have this problem before?

Will Leupold fix? I am the original owner.

You may have to use a different ring setup, it sounds like you have run out of adjustment.
If there is something mechanically wrong with the scope Leupold will fix it whether you are
the original owner or not.

Should not be a ring issue. the scope was mounted on standard Leupold rings for years, then one year could not get the horizontal cross hair up enough to the bullet hole in the target.

I will contact Leupold and see what I have to do to send back for service.

Thanks for you response.

I think you will be impressed by Leupold's customer service.  I've seen where they have replaced old models that were broken with the newest version.  It is probably easier for them to do that than it is to disassemble and repair an old scope.

Good deal. I will find out how to contact them on the internet and take it from there.
