anyone know of a gunsafe that could hold a lower receiver or two and maybe a couple mags ?
live in a 3rd floor apartment so a floor-standing safe is out of the question

If your problem is getting it up the stairs, consider a Zanotti safe:

I bought one a number of years ago because the doorway to my gun room is to small to admit a safe.  I carried the pieces in from the driveway my self.  I am a happy camper.

You can buy the small sheet metal gun safes that hold a half dozen rifles for under $100.  They are light enough that being on the third floor is not an issue.  Lag bolt it to the floor if you can.  These are not thief proof but do slow the smash and grab guys down.
