ok, so you want to take your issued (assuming you're in the military) M16A4 lower, and slap an M4 upper on it? As for your question, yeah that would work, but you ain't supposed to. Might be able to get your CO to sign off on it if you have the armorers do it but who knows.

User swap. just check for timing issues with carrier on full auto, or just reuse the bcg group in the new upper. As long as the CO is cool and say it OK. You should be good to go.
