A couple quick questions.
Picked up a colt M16a1 parts kit today. Now looking to pick up a barrel. 1. Who makes a good chrome lined pencil barrel? 2. Front sight from kit, can it be reused or do you have to get a new one and stake pin it? If yes. Where do can you find a colt C marked replacement? 3. How hard is it to stake pin front sight on those pencil barrels. Is it something best left to a gunsmith like adco? 4. Best receiver? NodakSpud? Thanks in advance for answering these questions. This has been a kit I have wanted to do up for a while. Built lots of other rifles from HKs to FALs etc. Have a mill in my shop...just wanted to see just how hard staking an pinning that sight would be and if you need a new sight block read a couple different things...some make it sound like you can reuse the ones in these kits that were previously installed others state you need to pick up a new one.
