I bought an out of the box brand new stag to get into ARs. Its a 16 and I love the lifetime warranty, it hasn't failed me the 2000 rounds I've shot.

Thinking about starting my first build, and I really want to make it a m16a4 clone without the acog until I can afford one someday (college student )

Anyways,

Which PSA complete upper is going to be a good a4 clone? I know one I'm looking at is like 515 with bcd and ch. And has all of the barrel specs that so many people insist on, but is it really needed?

If i do it, i want to do it right. So what should i go with? The highest end 20" PSA? Or BCM? How much more would a BCM run me?

If you want it now then get a PSA with a FN barrel when it's offered.

If you can wait then get a BCM as they don't come into stock as frequently.

Either way you can't go wrong.

Sling systemss sling $40 ish
Surefire  light can be had off EE $100 ish
Grip pod can be had off EE $50- $80 ish you can also use the knights VFG or none at all.
TA_33 H acog issue is a ta-33 RCOa4 with a red chevron $1000-$1400
You also need a OCK 3s bayonet for a  100% clone

You will need a BCG and charging handle.

Check the EE for a used KAC M5 drop in handguard.

Gotcha.

Ive been looking at the a4 thread before this, and actually motivated me for it.

My tag is 1:9 twist too, and i really want a 1:7. Thats another reason.

What would be a good BCG to go in the BCM? Besides what they offer, 140 is a little steep.

This is what i was referring to earlier in my thread.

What is the difference between this and FN?

This one is built with a CMMG upper and lower. This one has the Trijicon TA31RCO-A4CP ACOG 4x32 USMC Rifle Combat Optical Sight (w/ killflash attached). Barrel is a Gov't profile cold hammer forged 1/7 CL. One of these days, I will attached a Surefire weaponlight to it.

All of these rifles look great. I can't wait to build mine.

And thanks for the info about FN. Might save the 75 bucks and grab the one listed above
