I am having an issue getting nikon m223 with bdc sighted properly after mounting scope and zeroing 1.5 " low at 25 yards.  When I move out to 100 yards the scope shoots 4" high. I have removed scope from mounts and reinstalled and resighted again at 25 yards and gun still shoots 4" high.  I am lost and pulling my hair out.  Any suggestions?

What mounts are you using?  Any chance they're 20 MOA slant?

burris pepr.  The scope had been sighted but lost zero when son adjusted elevation knob. He must have also bumped scope when putting back into my safe.

Try sighting in at 50 not 25.

Sounds fairly normal.  Here's a picture to show what you are experiencing:

That is about where a 25 yard zero will put you.  A 50 yard zero will put you about 1.5" high at 100 yards.

I used nikons ballistic calculator and it said sight .7" low at 25 yards for zero at 100.  I will try the 50 yard sight at 1.5" high tomorrow.

When you are done sighting in... pull up on the turrets to unlock them, and turn them back to "zero"... then push back until they click. Now, if it gets turned accidentally by your son, you just turn them back to zero.

I always use this chart: and sight in at 50 yards.
