Yeah... I'll stick with picatinny rails + larue/ADM mounts. I'm so done with keeping up with the latest and greatest when it comes to rails. +1 It's good to see this kind of innovation though. Not my cup of tea, but I do believe this will give M-Lok a big boost in the war vs keymod. |

This is an outstanding idea.........the ability to don/doff quickly .........keep your rail clean and light till you actually need to use something. try to figure out same concept for keymod and corner the market.............Bravo really, this is great! I would imagine it would be easy for keymod. You have a fixed recoil lug and an angled nut or 2 that could be spring loaded. It would be nice for a bipod, but looks bulky for a light mount IMHO. That might be my perception. It's hard to tell how low profile it is from the video compared to something like a KAC scout light mount. |

It's basically QD for the new attachment systems. Picatinny has had QD for ages...now this will negate the need to install picatinny rail sections for 'quick on/off'. Neat, but not earth-shattering. no, but what does a 12" m-lok rail weigh compared to a 12" 1913 rail? You save a significant amount of weight and still get QD features. |

I like the innovation I see in M-Lok in general and with this nice little bit of technology.
Anything that depends on spring tension alone for its strength of attachment does cause me to hold my breath. Maybe there is some kind of failsafe latch that will keep it in place if the spring breaks or fatigues. If not, it may not be truly "duty grade." I like what I see and would want to see it get abused some before passing judgment on it. |

I didn't say m-lok rails were any better or worse than 1913 rails...I was talking about the attachment systems. I don't own any more quad rails...so there's that. |

I have yet to hear of one of their optics losing zero due to the springs, which are the sole method of tension. |

He sure is being very careful not to bump those spring loaded latches. Call me a skeptic. It may be great. It needs to be in the hands of end users to expose any flaws. Perhaps there are none. I nope not. But it looks like if either one of the springs on each end gets depressed of spring tension fails, it will slide to the side and have risk of release. If both are depressed, it falls off. There appears to be no lock to keep either latch from moving laterally. Time will tell. Not jumping on the bandwagon just yet. Interested? Sure. |
