I was reading an article in one of the NRA magazines (forgot the month) but it stated that it’s not always good to have the magazines filled to capacity due to the springs being tense all the time. I have a few 20 round magazines that I use for home protection but I only keep the magazines half full and I alternate the magazines every few weeks or so to keep the springs active. Anyone else hear about this or know if it’s bad for the magazines to be filled to capacity and left in the closet or desk for a long period of time? Also nice pics.... Thanks, Joe…. |
This gets hashed out very often here. Keeping the mag loaded doesn't hurt it. The repeated compression/expansion of the spring is the wear point, not constant compression of the loaded mag. |
