| I bought a new trigger guard today and installed it with just a few problems getting the roll pin out. Finished the install and decided to try loading a magazine started with a USGI mag and it wouldnt lock in without some force, tried a PMAG same thing, tried a Troy Battlemag same thing. Locked the bolt to the rear and tried a mag and it locked in with no problems. Slammed the bolt forward and tried to drop the mag and it felt as if it was stuck a bit. Any help is appreciated. |

Simple question, is the new trigger guard now protruding into the mag well area, and binding the mag up on it?
If yes, then either mod the trigger guard to solve the problem, or call up the manufactor to have them replace it with one that will not cause the same problem. And when removing the trigger guard, make sure to back up the receiver ears so you don't crack one off when punching the roll pin back out!!!! |

Ever have mag problems before? Trigger Guards should not affect the way a magazine locks in.
How much disassembly did you do? Is you mag catch fully tightened? Take a pencil eraser and press the magazine release button firmly. From the other side pull on the magazine release off the "shoulders" and try tightening or maybe even loosening the mag catch one full turn. Just be careful not to mar the finish on the receiver shoulders. |

When you put the trigger guard in, did you possibly damage the receiver?
