I have read that you should try not to swap bolts/uppers once they have been broken in.  Is this true.  I see a lot of people selling them sperately.

It's possible, the headspacing would need to checked before you shoot it.

I don't worry about it. Headspace can be verified with a different bolt.

It's in the TM guys, .mil puts new bolts in old guns all the time.

But can you put OLD bolts in NEW guns? I've never considered it, but I guess It never hurts to know.

As long as there is an accurate round count kept on the bolt I can't see a problem with that either. Wear is wear.
