| Thinking on a rifle kit from cmmg. 16" seems popular. Does the mid-length help with longer sight radius? Would it operate better with the gas block further out? Would it work against you for selecting full float hand-guards? What options are worth getting with the kit? |

I have the CMMG 14.5 inch mid length light weight barrel upper. shoots AWSOME and looks great too. mid length gas systems are reported to be easier on the cycling of the bolt and some say reduced 'felt' recoil. I'll let the techies argue that one out, i just like the way mine shoots and looks. |

I have a SABRE and it's wonderful. the Middys shoot softer than the CAR-15/M4. the weapon just bounces around a lot less. Because the gas tube is longer, the pressure curve is smoother and less harsh unlocking the bolt/carrier. the sight radius is better, and you have more handguard to hold on to. Shooting a middy and M4 side by side made a believer outa me. |
