| I posted this in general and did not find anything.I am looking for a molded hard case like the one Colt ships their 1911's in,but for a M4;RRA is like what I want but the weapon is broken down.I want to keep it ready out of the case.No foam;just like the Colt pistol case but for an AR.Thanks. |

That sure would be nice, but they might be hard to come by. Most manufacturers have these cases made by the 1,000s and they WANT the weapon to be disassembled intentionally (likely legal BS).
I tried to cut out the interior layer of molded plastic out of my Rock River case so I could use foam. It was a PITA and the whole case lost its rigidity. Many people like to keep optics on their weapon so that might complicate the design too (making it rare). ARs with carry handles, ARs with carry handle mounted optics, ARs with flat tops, etc... etc... My Bushmaster Varminter came in a plastic case with foam. My Barrett M82A1 came in a Pelican case, but instead of foam on the bottom it came with a removable plastic molded insert. Makes me wonder if someone makes special inserts for Pelican cases.
