I know this is a completely n00b question. But, how the heck are you supposed clean a barrel with CLP. In my 20 years of cleaning guns, I have always used Hoppes, rods and patches. I bought my first can of CLP today and was surprised to see that it was an aerosol can. Am I supposed to shoot it down the barrel? Then what? Or, do I shoot it on a patch and run it through? Or something else?

I know you are all probably chuckling by now, and I am happy to provide a laugh. But, anny assistance on the matter will be appreciated.

Thx.

The aerosol can is probably more for spraying other parts like the BCG when the rifle is already torn down. Yes, spray it on a patch / bore snake and pull it through.

Just replace the hoppes with CLP.

I use hoppes and CLP. I spray the CLP in the chamber then onto the rag to push\pull through.
