i got a solaforce pressure switch for my 6p surefire light
i'v had it on there for about 2 months maybe less, and now  it not working

any idea what could be going on?

You bought a chinese pressure switch.  Be amazed that it actually lasted 2 months.

but my friend got one and his is still working after 6 or 7 months

Lesson learned, at least I hope so. Spend a few more $$ and purchase a quality product that won't fail you when you need it most.
