I would like to buy a dot sight but know nothing about them. Will be mounted to a flat top Which is better the Eotech or the aim point? What is the useful distance for both (I understand they are for CQB) wondered if the aimpoint would be better since they have the 3X adapter? Thanks for any help. |

Both are very good. Only difference is the reticle. Aimpoint has a dot. EOTech has a circle/crosshair dot. Both are good for CQB. Others say they can be used at longer ranges. For long range shooting, some find the EOTech reticle too "big" that it covers the target. The simple dot has an advantage here. Bottom line, if you can, handle /shoot a rifle with both optics. Then decide which you like best. It is all a matter of choice / preference. Good luck. |
