I got 1000 rounds of .223 NATO FMJ as a sort of late christmas gift and I'm having a hard time figuring out the clips they came in. The ammo came inside of a metal case, inside of that was a sort of fabric belt with several pouches, each pouch has 3 clips each with 10 rounds on it. They look like this:![]() img.photobucket.com/albums/v50/blackdwarf/wierdclip.jpg ![]() img.photobucket.com/albums/v50/blackdwarf/clip.jpg I've tried physically loading these clips and it dosen't work. It goes pretty fast just slipping the rounds off and loading them, but that defeats the purpose dosen't it? Is there anything I can do with the clips left over? Would anyone buy them on the EE? |

Check this speed loader out LCMS10 Speed Loader M16. I have one of these and it works great. |
| LULA if the ammo is loose, but since your ammo is already on stripper clips, skip the spoons and get something like the CMAG loader. I have a Promag copy of the loader (which used to sell at Midway for around $10) and makes loading with stripper clips quick and easy. |
These make life sooooooooooo much easier. No more cut fingers, fast, easy, did I mention fast. Best $20 investment you will ever make. |
| What kind of ammo came on the strippers CoffeeAddict? Tell us what is stamped on the head of the case. Or maybe what is written on the can the ammo came in. If you want to IM me your address, I will mail you a few spoons, free of charge. They don't cost much. If you happen to get a spoon, slide the loaded clip on the spoon and then slide the spoon on the magazine. I hold the magazine over the clip and position the clip on the edge of a table or any hard surface, with the clip itself hanging over the edge and push down, feeding the loaded rounds into the mag. With a little practice, you can load a thirty round mag in about 3-4 seconds. |
LULA for loose-Speed Loader for clips. For years I used a speed loader for clips and a personal loader for loose. I bought a LULA for my M14 mags last month. After trying it I bought two more for the M14s and 4 for the ARs. That should tell you how much I like them. Can't use them for clips though. |

My OCD does not permit me to store ammo loose, which is why the 2k Wolf poly I got last week immediately went on strippers, into cardboards, and into ammo cans. I know a lot of people have problems using spoons, but other than a few rounds very occasionally, I have always found stripper clips and spoons to be easy to use. |

It works a hell of a lot better and quicker than he portrayed it. He looked like he was afraid of it or of breaking it. When he slaped the mag against his palm he had the mag in the wrong position. He needs a instructional video . Thanks for the video gmill. A picture is worth a 1000 words.Edited to add: They need a second take on that vid. |
