If you want a red dot, one of the best compromises is the S.P.O.T. optic for around $175 If you want a traditional scope, I' recommend a Burris 2-7x35mm Fullfield II Tactical, and a Yankee Hill Rail Extension. Pick any 1" rings of your liking. This combo can be had for under $250 and will leave room for a BUIS if you so desire.
