IMO it would be good for an "entry" weapon if needed.  But I would stay 14.5 or above for more practical use.

Other than the "cool" factor, they are not really practical.
Loss of velocity turns them in to an expensive .22, with little stopping power at more than CQB distance.
Figure a loss of 35 fps for each inch of barrel.

I’ve got an SBRed 11.5-inch Bushmaster on an A2 upper with an A1 flash hider.

This things kicks ass!

We can all argue about how practical these things are or what they’re good for, when it comes down to it, I don’t have to use this thing everyday as part of my job or something, and if I did, I probably wouldn’t choose this particular weapon. Sure it’s loud, throws a lot of flame out the front end, and the bullets are certainly moving slower, but it’s enough to set off a tannerite target and looks ultra cool. That’s why I play the game.

XM193 spec ammo fired in a 10.5" gun loses it's terminal characteristics of tumbling, breaking, and fragmentating at distance past 50 meters.  It would be a decent entry gun, though.
