i was all set to buy a bipod and like all other parts for the ar build i started to get to thinking wich one to get a harris from la rue w/qd mount or gg and g ????so what did others go with and why/ is there much dif. i think the gg&g looks realy cool. i plan on shooting from bench and prone. could realy use your help
I like Harris bipods but also have a TDI from CAA. I prefer the TDI because the legs extend with a spring rather than retract which is what the Harris does. I find it much easier to adjust the TDI in the field than a Harris on uneven terrain. Personal preference really, the TDI is a little more expensive but worth it IMO. The TDI will require a bottom rail of some sort or an adaptor for a bayonet lug.
thank you for your imput but i was looking more for a comparison of harris vrs. gg&g if you have a gg&g bipod what is it like i have harris on other rifle . does the gg&g operate on springs or just drop out when the thumb screws are loosen, self retracting or do you push them in . or is it set and forget. do i need to order the addapter for rail mount or do thay come with???? any imput thank you
