I have a doublestar upper with a glossy finish mated to a S&W lower which is a matte finish. I dont like the mis match combo . what can I do to rough up the glossy finish upper to more closey match the lower thanks

Not much. Buy a different upper that matches or buy a new lower that matches.

ETA: Looks don't effect function. But I like a purdy lookin' gun too

Have them refinished together if a perfect match matters that much.

Good excuse to spray them both with Krylon Ultra Flat camo!!! Love that stuff!
