I'm shopping around for my 1st AR15 and am considering an S&W I found at my local shop. I recently visited another shop and they told me that the S&W's are made by Stag. Is this true?

Also, I've been haunting these forums for a while now and you guys are teaching me a lot... Thanks!

don't know but either way stag and SW both make a nice AR.  Buy with confidence.

At this time S&W is making all their own ARs in their own Mfg. plant. There is nothing wrong with any older S&W that had Stag parts used.

Edit:  old models made by Stag.  S&W is making the new ones.

What's the opinion of the new models S&W is putting out on their own?
