I bought a model 1 upper, and im putting a rail for the under part of the handgaurd, how do you take off the handgaurd?

1: Ensure firearm unloaded (Noob answer)
2: Pull back on the handguard ring with one hand, (14)
3: Pull lower half of handguard (19) away from barrel, clearing the ring (14).
4: Pull lower half (19) back slightly to relase it from the front. (6)

thanks, I have manuels how to put it on, and I bought it already assmebled so i know nothing on how to take it off.

Have a friend in the military help you out. They can explain field stripping and give you good info.
