I like mine. Just bought it though. Only about 500 rounds into it so far. No problems with the rifle itself. I put the AK in the safe.

Mine has been very reliable, But I did replace the non-chrome lined barrel with a chrome lined one. That was my only gripe.

You can do much better by buying quality, individual parts and building it yourself. Most gripes with Oly are for out of spec parts and poor customer service/misleading advertising. Personaly I'd stay clear of them.

Terrible trigger, heavy and mushy.

How can that be? Your lower is dirty. AR triggers are never heavy and mushy and ALL forged lowers are EXACTLY the same. All lower trigger parts are EXACTLY the same. All forged AR's are pretty much the same.

It is for whatever reason cool to bash Olympic on this board. I just sold my 14 year old Oly that had umpteen thousand rounds through it and it ran like a Swiss watch. If you see one you like, buy it. Oly's customer service is top flight, a million times what Colt is. I prefer Bushmaster, but I am smart enough to know that if the Oly lower is forged, it's the same as Bushy. Nothing wrong with Olympic AR's.

If they are all the same, why the match trigger option?  Maybe I'm just spoiled, all factory triggers are junk.

They are the same as long as whoever is milling the forging stays within spec. Olympic has shown in the past that they have a problem doing that. It's not "cool" to bash oly on this board; more likely the variation of responses on oly would indicate a variation in the quality of oly product.

They're JUNK, Man.  Don't waste your money.  The QC problems that I have seen with their crap would make you sick!

They have a whole procedure for returning their shit receivers for remanufacturing!  Gee, ASSHOLES!  Why not make them right the first time??

In addition to the shitty receivers, they have had problems with out of spec chambers.  (too tight)

But that moron Tom's excuse was that OLY has "tighter tollerances" than the other manufacturers!  Oly was pretty much run off of this site by people bashing their trash rifles.

So a word to the wise is sufficient.  IMO, it's worth couple extra hundred to get a decent rifle!
