I just got my new Stag Arms left handed AR-15.

This is the first AR-15 that I have had that I got with open/iron sights which are included on the carry handle.

On the rear sight there are two aperatures, one larger one which is labeled 0-2 and one smaller one which is labeled C-2.

Am I correct that the larger aperature sight is for shooting at closer targets while the smaller aperature sight is for shooting at longer range targets ??

Also, I notice that when I am looking thru the larger aperature that the side that I am looking at is FLAT , but if I flip up the smaller size aperature the side that I am looking thru is the beveled/non-flat side.  Is this the way this is supposed to work ??

Thanks.

Thanks.
