what are all the methods that can be used?

somebody i talked to advised me of what they thought was called black loctite, he said it was commercial grade, and WOULD NOT budge... can this be used? as long as it locks it in place?

No Locktite is legal.

Blind pin and weld.
1100 degree silver solder.
Penetrating weld equal to half the circumference of the barrel, bonding FH to barrel.
4 equidistant penetrating welds, bonding FH to barrel.

These are the legal methods.

Loc-Tite of any sort will not be considered permanent by the BATF. Your most common choices will be:

1. Blind pinning.

2. High-temp silver solder.

3. Constant weld at least half the circumference.

4. 4 Equidistant tack welds.

Talk about ESP.
