I'm about to buy a EOTech 512 w/ LaRue Tactical QD Mount LT110, and I'd like to see someone's AR with this set up. My question is, can I mount my LT troy BUIS on the QD mount or does it go on the upper receiver?? Thanks guys

I don't have one, but I know the EOTech mount is set up for a magnifier or other auxilary optic.
The Troy will mount behind it on the upper receiver itself.

Do I really need the LT mount? Here is my current setup, the EOTech is replacing the fakepoint...

I don't have an EOTech 512, mine is a model 551 with shorter battery compartment

The Troy BUIS mounts on the last rearmost T1 position of the upper receiver rail and the front of the LaRue LT110 QD mount lines up with the front edge of the upper receiver like in my pics.

IMO get the Lt mount.. The quick release is nice.. The extra height it gives you is nice.. overall, well worth it.
