Let me start by saying I hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving!
Now to my issue... Ibuilt apistol in 556 last year and it seemed to run alright, a couple light strikes here and there etc. This year I pulled it out if the safe and it will only fire one round then a light strike. I tried 3different ammo types and it was all the same. It has aRRA bcg and a PSA fire control group. It also has a carbine buffer and spring. Any ideas would greatly appreciated, thanks guys, and have a good weekend. |

Nice view of the orientation of the trigger/hammer spring.

Just a guess here - but I'd read another post where this was happening (the light strikes and all) and it turned out that the hammer spring was installed backwards. That should be easy enough to check. Good luck, I hope it's that easy... Often the cause. |
| If your really sure your springs are installed correctly, double check them. So this pistol sat unused for a long period of time? Time to strip it down and clean every nook and cranny followed by a generous dose of lube. And while you have it apart closely inspect your firing pin and measure it too as it may just happen to be a bit short or the tip chipped. |
