i have a 20" flatop ar.   i am going to mount a scope on it and was looking at the arms rings.  its a 1" scope so i could go with the 1" mounts but would like to get the 30mm and 1" inserts in case i go with a different scope in the future.

i am mounting a simple bushnell elite 3200 3x9x40 so do i need the extra high rings or standard height and will these work for a different scope in the future.

thanks

Extra high rings are more "comfortable".You don't have to pull your head down to the rifle.CDNN has a set of aluminum tactical extra high 30mm rings,w/1 inch steel reducers, for $20.They're not steel, but cheap enough.I have one set. They look nice.
