My eyes aren't like they used to be, and after launching a push pin detent into a low-earth orbit on my last build (pissed me off.... was a matter of personal pride that I hadn't "lost" a detent since the early '90s!), I broke down and bought an installation tool from Fulton Armory.
http://www.fulton-armory.com/frontpivotpininstallationtoolstainlesssteel.aspx Well..... I'm assembling my latest and the damn tool won't fit through the lower receiver! After scratching my head a minute, I chuck the tool up in my cordless drill and lay it on a file I have handy. I take a few thousands off... polish it up and works like it's supposed to now. Anyone else ever have this problem? I was worried my lower might be too tight, but the pins slide in like hey're supposed to. Not a big deal..... other than just curious if Fulton Armory's tools are made by the same Chinese "craftesmen" who make Wal-Mart tools?
