hi everyone, im new to this site,  i was wondering what you guys think about a pwa lower.  i ask this because i have one and im going to get a varmint upper, and i really dont know that much about lowers.  i have a CAR setup that my father built for me, but i dont know much about them other than i love shooting them.  also are asa uppers as good as say rra uppers?  and on the asa uppers they have the option of getting a harris barrel or a wilson, is the harris worth the extra money?

Good lower.  Only little issue is the high shelf, but that doesn't affect me at all.

I have a PWA lower I like a lot, It was built by LMT and was tight without being ridiculously tight.  Some issues with installing the hammer, but that may be the part because the trigger pull is atleast 12 pounds and is going to be replaced asap.  I have heard first hand accounts, in person not on a board, about the asa uppers not working, but a friend of mine loves his asa lower.  I have never owned RRA but all I hear is positive.

Most people say avoid ASA like the plague. I tried to shoot a friends ASA AR before, but I couldn't because it kept malfunctioning. The charge handle broke the second time he took it out too. Judging by this, peoples comments seem accurate.

I'm confused...I believe that your're asking about the PWA, not ASA right?  New PWA are built by LMT, never heard anything bad about them, never heard anything good about ASA.  I've got a PWA by LMT, not as nice as the Lauer lowers by LMT, but stll pretty good.

Check outeaglefirearms.net for good prices on RRA parts and uppers.  Also Check out csgunworks.com/ to compare prices.

Wow hate to say it but I have used ASA lowers before and experienced no problems, the only issues I have heard of are with some of their uppers and their customer service..... But the lowers I have used are fine.
