Has anyone tried this buffer tube-
http://www.specializedarmament.com/products/Receiver_Extension_MK18_6_position-1172-291.html
It seems a little pricey but im doing a "no corners cut" build
I also have seen the Vltor ( http://www.midwayusa.com/product/563792/vltor-carbine-receiver-extension-buffer-tube-5-position-mil-spec-diameter-ar-15-aluminum-black)
I would like the 6th position but is the first one up to the same standards of the Vltor( are they ripping me off? )

IMHO ... that's a rip off. It's still just a mil-spec receiver extension.  6 positions just means that there are 4 positions you'll never use.

I have a VLTOR 5 position on my SBR Build and it is extremenly nice.  Better than the standard ones, at least in finish and machining.  On a Precision Rifle build I am using the VSeven Heavy Reciever Extension.  Its pricy and a beast, but extremely high quality. On my normal builds I'll probably stick the the VLTOR.  I also noticed that the RE is made from 7075.  The VLTOR is as well.  It is stronger than the 6000 series buffers that alot of companies use.

What's important is 7075T6 material.  I use a lot of Brownells 7075T6 mil spec extensions.

If you want to go a little fancier, look at the Spikes 7075T6 extension.  They add several drain holes and number the top.
