| I guess in theory you could run a 12" rail on a carbine, but it might look a little silly. Low-profile gas blocks are designed to fit underneath rail systems, you don't need a "special" rail. Most people want a rail that just covers the gas block, if you need a longer sight radius for some reason you're probably going to build a middy or a rifle-length system with a longer barrel anyway. |
