i guess this can go here. california range report!! been hearing about the privi stuff so thought id try some..first, i'm no bench shooter. my rifle is set up for self defense, shtf and zombie killing. its got a Superior lower.CMMG upper with a 16" CMMG 1/7 twist barrel. i have a acog TA11F on it..i zeroed it last year using LC m855 green tip..here is the ammo i used today...LtoR privi 75 gr match hp privi 62 gr fmj black hills remanufactured 68 gr match hp black hills remanufactured 60 gr sp lake city 62 gr fmg grn tip http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y80/reddot223/PictureorVideo003.jpg here is the range..cloudy day, rain any time.47 degrees, slight south wind http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y80/reddot223/PictureorVideo006.jpg here is my rifle http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y80/reddot223/PictureorVideo007.jpg 1st 5 shot group....looking left to right...same as i listed the ammo http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y80/reddot223/PictureorVideo004.jpg not to impressed with the 62 gr privi so far, had troble with ftf and fte with the blackhills stuff...next was a 10 shot grouping http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y80/reddot223/PictureorVideo005.jpg these shots were all taking somewhat rapidly, as soon as the red chevron was on target the trigger was pulled. i am a 48 yr old man with 48 yr old eyes..i was happy with the heavier privi..the 62 gr stuff sucked out of my rifle..i could have thrown the bullets downrange and gotten a better grouping..the blackhills stuff did well.especially the 60 gr stuff, but way to many ftf's and fte's..the lake city and privi 75 gr ran perfect..i guess i know what i'll stock up on |
