i bought some used mags that have magpul ranger plates on the base.  i want to take the mags apart so i can clean them up.  so how exactly do i go about removing the ranger plate?  i don't want to tear up the mag....

the little button (it's black and serrated) push it into the magazine and slide the plate off

+1 Push the end serrated tab at the rear of the Ranger pull.

It's also easier to remove if you also push the center long button (marked with a cartridge image) at the center of the floor plate (inside the loop).

Then slowly slide the Ranger pull toward the rear of the mag.
