I just finished a build and bought a no name rear sight . When i went to zero the rifle I didn't like that I had to bury the front sight deep into the post because it was shooting to low...  I figure it to be the rear sight ,its a flip up with only windage adjustments . Are there diffrent heights or are all rear sights the same ...my buddy has the same problem with a pistol ..the upper is a spikes with a stag barrel and fixed front sight ....the front was already set to mechanical zero as was the rear and I was at 25 meters . Any suggestions

I did adjust the sight from mechanical zero .....its just throwing me for a loop cuz my other rifle is zeroed and the front sight is almost flush and this one is zeroed with the front really screwed into the post.....its just screwed in to much for my comfort and I'm thinking I did something wrong

You may have a .040 taller front sight post installed than what is required.

2 front sights post are availble. one at standard length and another that is .040 taller.

ATM I do not recall the oal of the FSP.

I would measure your 2 front sight posts and see (if the oal is different) or just remove material off the fsp so that you post is sitting at a elevation you like.
