I have a stag model 2, and i bought a basic $40 red dot tube sight but I don't like it because I can't see over the front sight post very well. I have a 1/2 in. riser rail and it helped a little, but I was wondering I a reflex sight would be better. If so what kind of reflex sight has a bigger lens, I am willing to pay around 100 or 150 for a sight any help would be most appreciated.

I doubt a reflex will be better.

If you truly want to NOT have the front sight post cluttering your optic's sight picture you have two choices:

1)  New flat top gas block with a folding front sight (metal only!  no polymer, it will melt).

2)  A really tall riser mount that moves the optic way up high, but I believe this is a bad choice for two reasons:

2a)  Really big height over bore is not a good thing.

2b)  Makes the footprint of the rifle even bigger.

Send your upper to a good smith and have them install a flat top gas block, I bet ADCO would do it for you.

Thanks for the info, I guess I just need to buy a gas block but what size gas block should i get for a stag model 2.  I know that there are different sizes of gas blocks, I don't care if it is a quad rail or anything, i just want the rail on top for a BUIS.  I also need it to fit a regular type handguard, not a free float.  Again thanks for the info.
