what is used to remove anodizing from the upper/lower.
I've heard oven cleaner, but have not tried it. Any suggestions? Ron |

I've heard that using oven cleaner and other chemicals works ok for small parts, but not so well for larger items, like receivers. If not used properly it can damage your parts. It can also leave splotchy areas that remain even after reanodizing.
I would also recommend a light blast with fine media. |

I accidentally used oven cleaner on an aluminum motorcycle frame once, and had to re-sand it to get a decent looking finish back. I wouldn't recommend using oven cleaner on aluminum. |
| I use Caswell Anodize and Chrome Stripper. It takes it right off, and doesn't harm the base metal. |
