So do i need a tool for this or should i just pund it out with a rubber hammer?

the trigger guard is easily removed by using a punch and hammer to pop out the locking roll pin

then, use a small punch/scrwedirevier to depress the stainless tab on the forward portion of the tirgger guard to depress the spring loaded tab--it then snaps out

Make sure to support the bottom ear of the lower so it doesn't snap off.
