What type of grip do you experienced AR shooter prefer and why.

The stock A2 grip on my Bushy is uncomfortable and a little awkward for me.

The standard hand guards are fine but that standard grips just doesn't do it for me.

I use A1 grips on all of my AR's. Without the finger rest allows me to position my hand more comfortably.

Unfortunately, this is a very personal decision, as the various offerings (at least two dozen) will fit people differently.  What problems are you experiencing now?  Are your hands too big/too small for the A2?  Etc.

I have both a Tango Down Battle Grip and a First Samco G27 Ergo style grip both are infinintely more comfortable than the A2 grip.
I like the Tango Down grip since it covers up the iritating area by the trigger guard.

Do you have big hands? I do and the Ergo style seems to move your hand back a bit for a more comfortable trigger pull. I still can't take my finger out of the trigger guard to hit the mag release comfortably without moving my hand off the grip. Recomend a gapper though.

My advice is to find someone to let you try out their setup if at all possible.

Houge has a nice rubber texture.  I added bicycle innertubing to my grips, not as good as a houge grip but allows for a more secure "wet" grip.

I may be old fashioned but I like the feel of the A1 stocks. The original triangle on a 20" upper. I haven't tried them yet but the Hougues do look like they would be comfortable.
