ok so i tried doing a search and found that medium rings should be good for a 40mm objective on my ar15.
would medium work fine or should i get the high rings? i have a flat top ar15 with a yankee hills free float tube. its not a quad rail. so if anyone could chime in on this would medium rings work fine? or should i get high rings? i am mounting a redfield revolution 3-9x40mm scope. thank you for the input. |

When I ran a Leupold 3-9x40 on my RRA Predator Pursuit, I initially went with Warne ultra-high rings and they worked fine. I later dropped down to Warne extra-high (0.650") rings and liked them better. I eventually ditched the high rings and went with a one piece mount, but that is another story. |

A decent one piece cantilever mount would be ideal. There are many one piece cantilever mounts available.
You don't have to worry about ring alignment, lapping the rings, proper optic placement for ergonomics/proper eye relief and good cheek weld. |
