So i just bought my RRA predator and am now moving to phase two, optics.

The main purpose for this rifle will be for blasting chucks and squirrels so I'm going to put on at least a 4x12 scope.  I also want to put on iron sights.(its my only AR and I wanna be able to shoot iron)  If i use rings and a riser base can i take the base on and off with out loosing my scope zero? I think this is possible but never had any experience with the weaver rail system.  Also since I'm going to be breaking the bank on glass which is the most affordable iron sights that will mount up to my rifle that is worth having?

Check out the LaRue mounts. A bit more expensive than you had in mind no doubt, but awesome pieces of workmanship that return to zero. You won't be sorry you got one.

Unless the wife finds out how much over budget you went.

And welcome aboard!

For a return to zero you best look at the Larue.  Others will come close to returning to zero but the Larue will.
