Just got a Nikon Prostaff 4-12 x 40 scope for my 6.8 SPC. I have a set of rings and also a riser that I bought with the scope. I have it all mounted and it seems to work okay. I wanted to put a buis on it but there's no room on the rail. I have been looking at the single piece high rise scope mounts from Rock River and was considering getting one. They also make one that is cantilevered that appears to not use as much rail. What is my best option and is there a mount that I can use that will allow me to use a buis? Maybe some high rise single piece rings would be better? Thanks, Matt.

I have a LaRue SPR mount (which is awesome BTW).  The closest RRA mount looks like that 1-peice cantilever mount you mentioned.  That one looks like the best option for you.

The gotcha is that depending on the size of your specific scope's occular bell, and your specific backup irons (we're talking some sort of flip-up, yes?), things may or may not fit.  Best to call RRA and get dimensions for that mount and measure your scope and irons.

I have used both the Larue LT -139 and the LT-104 with a Nikon 3x9 monarch. Both cleared the Troy flip-up rear sight. For me the LT-104 worked best with the 3x9 scope( eye position wise)
