Put a Nikon Prostaff on a Stag 7H for hunting this fall. It seems to be a little more forward than most pictures I have seen. The eyepiece is a little more than an inch ahead of the rear of the upper. I used a Rock River one piece cantilever scope mount. It feels really good when I'm snugged up to it for a shot and I get a good sight picture. It changes a little, of course, switching between 4 and 12 power. Is there a general rule of thumb on scope position or if it feels good do it? I haven't shot it yet. Thanks, Matt.

As long as your comfortable with it and your eye relief is set right should be GTG.

That's the way I saw it but wanted to ask. Thanks

I shoot NTCH and a forward scope works well for me.  It is more personal preference than anything.
