| I have a friend that just built his first lower and he has a small problem with the selector switch. The switch moves to the fire position fine but it moves to the Burst/FA position to go to safe. It will not go to the correct safe position. He says that he can do a function check fine on it. Does anyone know what is going on? |

What's he's actually got right now is technically safe-fire-fire, as the only thing keeping the semi trigger from firing is the "shark fin" of the AUTO position hitting the closed back end of the semi trigger. A different semi-spec trigger or FA trigger will fire from that third position, so it is not a true "SAFE" position. |

When he cocks the rifle it either goes up ti fire or to the right (FA/Burst) side, it will not go to the correct safe position at all, but when it is in the FA/Burst position he can not pull the trigger (just like in safe) And to the above poster, it is installed on the correct side. |

Then besides having an FA selector, something else is defective, too. pics of parts might help |
